Revenue Cycle Liaison - MedStar Physicians' Billing Services - Remote!!

Job Summary Provides analytical support to establish and achieve revenue cycle goals and objectives.
Using industry guidelines and best practice standards, reviews client department performance in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
scheduling; registration; coding; and claims submission and adjudication.
Using standard and ad hoc reporting, identifies opportunities for improvement and procedural enhancement.
Minimum Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor's Degree Preferred, Associates Degree Required.
Consideration will be given to appropriate combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience 3 years of medical practice billing experience.
Medical Practice Management or Medical front end or back end experience preferred.
License/Certification/Registration CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of Physician Coding using CPT, ICD-9/10, HCPCS and Modifiers preferred;Associate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must have advanced analytical skills including data analysis and procedure review.
Proficiency with Microsoft office applicationparticularly Excel,Word and PowerPoint; strong spreadsheet skills.
Report production and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Highly developed customer service skills.
Ability to relate well to physicians and other front office administrators and staff, as well as with billing management and staff.
Must be able to function in a team oriented, deadline and production driven work environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Attends practice related and other meetings with or for Associate Director, Director, AVP as requested, and follows up and communicates information, as appropriate.
Audits all standard produced reporting to identify trends or issues.
Including monitors and researching key operating and performance trends to include but not limited to, GCR, NCR, denial percentage, charge lag, and AR days.
Recommends changes to reflect accuracy, consistency and completeness and usability of the data being reported.
Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards.
Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
Ensures that client requested reporting compliant with Management Report Request guidelines and is produced, verified and delivered as requested.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with client department staff.
Exemplifies Guest and Associate Relations standards in all activities in areas of service, resource utilization, high quality outcomes and effective communication.
Participates in educational/professional development activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.
Responds to and resolves routine problems and requests from practices, other hospital departments and MPBS management and staff.
Supports client leadership in developing productivity and quality assurance standards that maximize revenue opportunity and are compliant with applicable state and federal regulations.
Supports development and facilitation of onsite revenue cycle training and education to ensure seamless knowledge transfer of verified best practice and systems procedures.
Using data and observation, identifies opportunities for revenue improvement, increased efficiency and effectiveness.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
