Security Officer- Floater

Floater II Unarmed Security Guard Baltimore Metro Market
Shifts: Rotating Weekly Schedule ? Could include day, afternoon, or overnight shifts any day of the week. Schedule will be 40 hours per/week. Must be available for on call scheduling needs.
The purpose of this position is to assist Customer Management with ensuring the safety and security of persons and property while on duty.
Guard will wear a pre-approved Standard Security Uniform.
This position may require extensive patrols. Guard may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions. Walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods of time are a critical requirement of this position.
The Security Guard shall:
1. Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
2. Prefer to have (2) years of experience as an Unarmed Security Guard and show evidence of successful prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
3. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
4. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with the general public.
5. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
6. Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form I-9 in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
7. Provide evidence that a criminal record history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by DSS Human Resources.
8. Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities.
9. Meet such alternatives to the above qualifications as DSS may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Requirements:
1. Ability to operate a basic incident report system via a company provided smartphone.
2. Maintain a current and valid MD State Police Security Certification.
3. Be prepared to work a flexible schedule week in and week out.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
