Based in Baltimore, MD, however a remote location is acceptableJob Duration:
Full time for 6 Months wtih possible extensionDescriptionProvide electro-mechanism system engineering support for the development of an Electro Mechanical Actuation System including, but not be limited to, performing concept trades, concept design and detailed design of mechanisms systems and their components for moving and dynamic applications.
Provide oversight for fabrication, assembly and testing services, including life testing in the development of prototypes, and flight electromechanical systems.
Requirements Strong Mechanisms experience on aerospace actuation hardware or other similar high reliability experience.
Electromechanical experience - small electric driven motor systems, actuators, precision motion control, etc.
Experience with systems level oversight of hardware development.
Knowledge of software and electrical interfacing designAdditional Skills &
Qualifications:
Experience with systems requiring precision motion is required and systems utilizing electromechanical or other means for actuation, and sensors for detecting velocity, position or other physical parameters, along with a closed-loop or open-loop feedback controller.
Experience with electromechanical systems in severe environments where systems are subjected to harsh acoustic, EMI/EMC, and vibration environments is preferred.
Experience in setting up and operating electronic design and test equipment and the testing.
Experience working on aerospace industry, DoD in design, assembly, integration and test programs is preferred.
Pass background check including education and local and state criminal Pass 10 Panel drug test US Citizenship The engineer must be able to work independently on assignments, but must also be able to work in an integrated product team (IPT) environment, collaborating with others on trade studies, analyses, etc.
in order to create innovative and highly functional designs, subsystems and systems All design work to be done using CATIA V5.
Remote location is acceptable; occasional travel to MRAS and/or supplier locations may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
